Jason Kelley is a skilled financial executive and a pioneer in the commercial real estate industry.
Mr. Kelley joined QuietStream Financial in 2003 as the CFO at legacy company, Commercial Defeasance. His leadership and financial acumen steered the business through record-setting defeasance volumes that established Commercial Defeasance as the industry leader. Mr. Kelley guided the firm through a private-equity investment in 2006, the 2007-2009 financial crisis and recession, and the subsequent economic recovery. In 2013, he demonstrated his expertise as part of the management team that raised venture capital to recapitalize and diversify the firm under the QuietStream Financial umbrella.
Mr. Kelley formerly served in the Real Estate Group and the Banking and Finance Group at Grant Thornton, one of the top professional services firms in the world. At Grant Thornton, he researched and developed concepts that established him as an expert in defeasances and successor borrowers for commercial mortgage-backed securities.
Mr. Kelley holds both bachelors and masters degrees from Appalachian State University in North Carolina. He is a licensed CPA and resides in Charlotte, N.C. with his wife and four children.
