Thomas Deane is a Managing Director of Great River Mortgage Capital and has over twenty-three years of experience in direct and supervisory roles in the commercial real estate industry.
Mr. Deane was the head of Special Servicing and Structured Transactions Asset Management in Wachovia’s Real Estate Capital Markets division The group was responsible for a $9 billion structured finance portfolio, CMBS and GSE Special Servicing, repurchase and warehouse financing surveillance and workout of on-balance sheet loans and tax credit investments. Mr. Deane also served as the head of Wells Fargo’s Special Situations Dispositions Group, where he was responsible for executing favorable disposition structures, as well as being a senior advisor on workout and resolution strategies for impaired assets across the platform.
Previously, Mr. Deane was a Senior Asset Manager for Bank of America’s CMBS servicing unit where he was responsible for Primary, Master, and Special Servicing of securitized commercial real estate loans. In this capacity he was responsible for asset management of the majority of securitized large loan portfolio. Mr. Deane has additional experience as a deal manager and underwriter and as a regional manager for a debt origination platform for a major national bank. He began his career as a commercial real estate broker in 1989.
Thomas received his B.A. in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Claremont McKenna College and his MBA in Finance and Marketing from Pepperdine University.
